Sarona
Sarona is a small spring between Sarona and Yavneel, now filled with grapes,
sabres, figs, etc. It is about 5 minutes from the road, and can be a nice
place to have picnic in the hot summer days. There is water comming from
a small house, which is unique in Israel, and the water goes to a little
pool, in which you can shpritz one another.
How to get there:
-
From Kfar Tavor drive 10 minutes inYavneel's direction. After the Cherkessi
village of Kfar Kana, and Sarona, you will see at your right a sign: Ein
Sarona. Five minutes of walking from the eucaliptus and seats, you will get
to the spring.
What else to see:
-
You can visit the Cherkessi village of Kfar Kana. There's only one more
village lke this one in Israel, and it's much norther, in Reihaniya.
-
Another place I strongly recommend is Tavor Mt. If you haven't been there yet,
then it's obligatory. Wonderful view, and you can take the bible with you...
-
Nahal Tavor, starting in Gazit and ending in Gesher, is one of the most
beautiful canyons we have in Israel, specially in the spring.
You can look at the proper page in this site.
Where to eat:
-
In Alon's gasoline station there's a new and good eastern restaurant.
Thanks to Noam Benayahu for revealing this hidden place to everybody.
